Mitzi Layne (Tichenor)

Mitzi Layne is a 1969 graduate of Washington Irving High School. She
attended WV Wesleyan from 1969-1970 and graduated from Salem
College, in 1974 with a BA degree majoring in English and minoring in
history. Mitzi Layne was the choreographer for the Gail Saunders Revue
from Pittsburgh in the late 1970’s Mitzi Layne was invited to be the
guest teacher in tap and jazz at the Aruban International Dance Festival
in 1993. Since then, she received a Business degree with a
specialization in Sports Management and MBA degree, as well as an
MA in Education Curriculum and teaching from Salem International
University. She earned an MA degree in English literature and
composition from SNHU, which enables her to professionally tutor and
teach as an adjunct in higher educational environments. Mitzi
continues to share her passion for dance with her students.

Misty Layne Aiello

Misty Layne is a 2008 graduate of RCB High School in Clarksburg, WV,
She was a member of the Little Eagle Cheer Team from 1995-1998; a
member of the Mountaineer Allstar Cheer Team from 1998 to 2001,
where she competed at Williamsburg, Va for the capacity filled cheer
competition several years. Misty was a member of the Washington
Irving Hilltopper competitive School Cheer Team , while in middle
school, and a member of the RCB Varsity dance line while in high
school. Misty was also a member of the RCB Varsity Cheer Squad her
senior year at RCB.

Misty attended Fairmont State University from 2008 to 2009 and
transferred to Salem International University earning an associate
degree there. She holds a liberal Arts degree from Excelsior College and
a Master’s degree in Early Childhood from Grand Canyon University.
She also obtained a Special Ed degree from GCU in Dec of 2019.

Misty’s dance education has been a whirlwind of experiences
performing both on a national as well as an international basis. From
Freeport, Bahamas to Aruba, Jamaica and Curacao , she performed for
audiences that were internationally based. On a national scope, Misty
performed several time at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, as
well as Universal Studios. She was a member of the Mitzi Layne Dance
Team, who won the national Star power competition competing against
many dance legendary teams, such as Abby Lee Miiler from Pittsburgh,
Pa, among others. Misty studied at Steps On Broadway in NYC for
several seasons. She is now excited to share her passion and knowledge
for dance and acrobat with all of her students.
